From the Mouths of Religious Nuts
While Israel's Prime Minister Ariel Sharon fights for his life in an intensive care unit, Pat Roberton is accusing him of intervening with God's plans. Apparently, Sharon had a massive hemorrhagic stroke because "he divided God's land." The stroke was God's way to "smote" Sharon for forcing Israelis out of the Gaza Strip and returning it to the Palestinians. In 2001, Roberston stated that America deserved 9/11 for embracing abortion and homosexuality. In my opinion, a religious nut is a nut - no matter what religion they represent. In principle, there is no difference between Pat Robertson and Islamic extremists. Robertson preaches hate and hides under the protection of Christianity. Apparently Roberston has missed the central theme of Christianity...news flash - Pat, it's love, not hate. "But now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." (1st Corinthians 13:13) Apparently Pat skipped that verse. Personally, I applaud Prime Minister Sharon for returning the Gaza Strip to the Palestinians and taking a step towards peace. The world could use a few more like him...and I highly doubt God would smote any person working towards peace on earth.

You beat me to the punch and stole my favorite whipping boy. Actually, my New Years Resolution is to get back some of my laid back manner that has been whittled away by too much work and two young children. Therefore, I'm trying to "find the love" myself and refrain from attacking those with whom I disagree.
However, if there is anyone on the planet besides Osama bin Laden who doesn't deserve "the love" its Pat Robertson. This man's soul is full of hate and he makes his living by manipulating the worst and most base emotions in people. Let's face it, if God were truly in the reprisal game, Pat would have checked out long, long ago.
Three quick points:
1) Pat Robertson doesn't care about Ariel Sharon anyway - he's a Jew and is destined for Hell. After all, he doesn't accept the divinty of Jesus Christ so there's no room in the Inn for Mr. Sharon.
2) The even more evil side of this current story is that Pat Robertson doesn't give a rats ass about the Jewish people or the country of Isreal. The only reason he doesn't want "God's land divided" is because he believes that the Rapture cannot occur until the Jews regain the promised land. Of course, once they do its Armageddon time and off to Hell with all those dirty Jews...
3) Pat Robertson claims to be a Christain, but he is always quoting the Old Testament. Guess what Pat, you're reading the WRONG BOOK. If Jesus is the light and the way, and none shall go to the father except through him, then what relevance does the Old Testament hold for a believing Christian? What's even more ironic is that the national director of the Anti-Defamation League spoke out against Pat Robertson saying "His remarks are un-Christian and a perversion of religion. Unlike Robertson, we don't see God as cruel and vengeful." And lets face it, if anyone has the right to view God as cruel and vengeful, its the Jewish people. After all, the Old Testament is their ONLY book.
Hopefully, we will all be alive the day Pat Robertson dies so we can claim that the unseen hand of God was behind it. There's a special seat in Hell with his name written all over it.
